Planning on building a G (Parking) +3 Floor home.
Was wondering the timeline and approximate costs for a decent quality home.
I understand that sky is the limit for interiors.
With steel and cement at all time highs wanted to revisit the costing.
Thanks for your time.
Timeline for constructing G+3 in 60*40 site.
Re: Timeline for constructing G+3 in 60*40 site.
Hi
Just mentioning G+3 floor is not sufficient. You also need to specify approximately how much area in Squares you are planning to construct to estimate the price.
For timeline, you can consider approx. 1.5 to 2 years as the timeline for the construction. Many builders promise to complete in 1 year in the initial days, but always there are many hurdles in the construction period. Wall Structure is phase 1 & Once the structure is ready, Phase 2 takes more time for arranging & synchronising different labour teams for Wood work, Flooring, Plumbing, electrical, Painting, Fabrication,,,etc.
With todays increasing raw material prices. Keep an average of Rs. 2,500 as the rate per square feet of construction for a descent quality. if anyone quotes Rs. 1,500 to 1,800 per square feet, definitely it will be a misguiding number & raises question on their quality of construction and also lot of hidden things will be there, which they'll not disclose in the initial quote & they add all those activities as additional charges, which doesn't cover under standard package.

Thanks for your response.
Apart from parking we are planning to have a built area of 6000sqft.

Including Parking Consider an average area of 8,000 sq. ft.
you can say 8,000 X 2,500 = 2 Crores as the approx. construction cost.

Do we have a thread to understand the terms used in construction. So many of the words are alien.
