House Construction - Extension

Hello All,

I will soon be starting the construction work on first floor. It's a small extension actually, of 450 sqft on an existing 330 sqft.

I am planning to accommodate a small U-type Kitchen measuring 6ft x 6ft and a small bathroom measuring 6ft x 5ft. Rest will be living room. The existing construction has two rooms measuring 11.25ft x 10.25ft and a bathroom measuring 5.5ft x 10.25ft.

My contractor said he will be using plastering M-Sand for brick work too. I would like to know if it is OK to use plastering sand for brick work. He said since the existing building doesn't have columns, he said it is good to use plastering sand. Please advice if it is OK to use plastering sand for brick work.

Regarding bricks, he said no to Wire cut bricks. The contractor says the plastering will not come good on wire cut bricks. Is that true?
