Pergola

Dear members

for the skylight i was thinking of using Policarbonated sheet but my architect feels it makes lot of noise .. glass is fragile .. :roll: is there any other product we can use in lieu ?suggestions solicited

Use toughened glass 10mm or higher, underneath this you can use stained glass, which add a newer dimension of light. Yes PC sheets are a noisy only during rain or if any bird perches on it, but is extremely durable.

Toughened glass is a better option but the one disadvantage is that any small kind of dust sitting on glass is clearly visible and maintaining glass clean everyday in a residence is not easy.The other way is to go for frosted glass and install frosted surface facing downward to avoid dust accumulation on rough surface .
