Cement Grade M20 / M25 for structure - advice?

Post by averagejoe »

I am looking for advice from any structural engineer. As per our structural drawing of Footing and Column, out structural engineer has advised that columns should have concrete of M25 and Footing and pedestal are with M20.
Is this compatible and OK to go with?

Hi averagejoe!

Grades of concrete are suggested on the basis of condition of the soil, size of the footing and loads on columns. Better to follow the structural engineer's suggestions.
