Issues with site near Waste water treatment plant

I had looked at an Arkavathy BDA site near a Waste water treatment plant on Hennur Road (opposite Mantri Splendour apartments) . While I didnot get any stench from the plant when I visited the site, I would like to have your opinion of what has been your experience with such plants being in the vicinity. Is it advisable to buy a site in the vicinity.

Generally, stench odor will be experienced mainly in rainy season or when water overflows.

Also the ground water quality will be an issue near the Waste water treatment plants if its not professionally managed.
