Tax payment after construction

Post by jackalbda »

Hello All,

After construction of house and occupying it , should I do something with BDA ( mine is still under BDA) so that I can start paying house tax instaed of vacant plot ? Is there a timeline for doing it or it can be done anytime before next tax payment window? Should I do something from my side to make it "occupied" instead of vacant or is it all automatic ?

Thanks in advance

You need to apply and get a "Completion Report" called CR in short. You will get a CR only if you have constructed the house according to bye-laws with minimal deviation. You can pay tax based on the area of the house mentioned in the CR.

I live in Mysore and I applied at mysore city corporation. My guess is you have to apply to the same authorities that granted you the building permit.
