Hi
A good tarpaulins will have a good gauge. In actual tarpaulins are not just a plastic sheets. They are fabric based treated with tar,you can see them usually on lorries carrying cement or any dry goods. They are very thick and protects from any kind of rain .The 650/- one is a polythene plastic based it can only resist the moisture and little amount of water content.I not sure about the brands but you should be able to make it out by looking at the gauge and woven strength.
