Did anybody get the tax notification from BDA?

Hello All,

Did anybody receive the tax notification ( with Challan ) from BDA for this year? I thought it happens in March - April, but not sure.

I have not received any such notification from BDA. Should we receive first the notification from BDA before paying tax? are they going to mention the amount that needs to be payed?If you have more info please share with us.

One alternative I have found is go to BDA website give you plot details and you will be able to see the tax due for this year. Then you can go to bank get the DD(i m not sure about this) and pay the tax. Other alternative is if you have corporation bank account with internet banking then you can pay direclty from BDA website.

Yes, we will receive a tax pay notice from BDA office along with a Challan. The details of amount to be paid ,due date etc will be there in it. Then what I usually do is to go to the CanaraBank which has got this tax collection facility and they will give you the acknowledged challan back with a copy kept with them.

I have seen that we can pay the tax online from the below website. But, to be frank, am not sure of how safe it is as this is the the first time BDA is doing something like this !! If I pay here and finally BDA saying that they have not received it is quiet possible , I believe Sorry to be sounding pessimistic

You will get that in june, normally after the tax deadline date. you need to pay with some penalty like 2% per month, 20 rupees extra for every 1000 Rs after june. If you pay in July, u will end up paying Rs. 20 extra for every month...

Any update on tax notification? I still have not got notification from BDA. should we wait for some more time?

I am a little confused. My parents house in BDA area - they did not wait for notification, they just paid it. And when I asked my brothers about this - they said, they never get the notificaiton, when it is tax time, they check the BDA site and pay the amount based on what the website calculates for their property.

Is this notification for specific properties in BDA areas?

I heard for BDA Approved layouts are being handed over to BBMP at least in yelhanka side, there might be delayed on the tax collections. I am not sure of BDA Alloted sites or Layouts formed by BDA.

Sorry, I should have updated earlier...yes , I got the chellan by post and paid it too..

I am not sure how its paid without the chellan , but if people are doing it , there would be a way , I believe.
