Folks,
I am renting safe locker available in the bank to keep valuables. I am thinking to design one for my home under construction. Any idea how to go about and do it ?
Thanks
Vimal

well you can design it, but think about it, every worker on site will know about the location and design. so how will it be safe anymore? but if you want it, most people keep it in puja room (under the counter) - once again, that is a known fact. My contractor suggested it to me when I was doing my construction. We really did not need one, so I declined.

One reason to use the bank locker/vault is to distribute the risks.
This will suffer.

Unfortunately locker is hard to get nowadays.

Hi,
You can opt for electronic safes ,these are fixed to walls with anchor bolts that can be removed only by opening the locker and you do get heavy safes from godrej even today but very costly.secret place can be any where in the home below your bed,in the toilet , on the loft but thieves are much smarter than us.Embedding in the walls is not possible since the wall thinness are not more than 9".Buy a heavy safe and fix it to the wall permanently though its seen from out side at least not easy to take it away .
