Thanks PRaveen.....however, the price of standard ISI steel has again gone...it is 46800 now. Indus is 51000.

Anyone???? any idea if the prices of steel would come down in a month's time frame??? Also with regards to cement, I feel the prices would come down during april/ may???

With regards to the bricks....I did have a good ones on the face of it. However after curing the bricks for a good amount of time/ days, I have realised that the block is loosing its original shape. Meaning the shape is reducing to a soap bar, supposedly not subjected to enough temperatures in the kiln. This was indeed a good exercise to ensure that the brick used is very much intact. If we do not cure the bricks well & start using them for the buildings, the damages are even more to comprehend !!

@SK1976,,,,very interesting...all along I was under the impression that only TISCON manufactures FE500. Yes...it is 46800 today !! This is the cheapest FE500 grade TMT that you can find in bangalore is what I presume. But, will someone be able to vouch for this FE500 quality of prime gold against Indus/ Chamundi @ FE415??? When I spoke to their regional manager, he candidly admits that it is the cheapest iron, as their overheads are quite lower, comparatively.

PS: by the way, the 8mm rods are FE415 only !!

Thanks !!

See another post here http://www.mybdasites.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=1611&p=5957&hilit=prime+Gold#p5957. PrimeGold has both 415 and 500. One can order the grade they want. You can check their website http://primegoldgroup.com/primegoldtmt-quality.html that compares their test results with other brands of same grade.
Since primeGold stock was not available when I wanted to buy, the steel merchants told me that Chamundi and PrimeGold are almost equivalent in quality and Primegold is slightly more popular/slightly more pricey(Rs 1000 more) because of their marketing push. Of course the steel merchants are not structural engineers and hence we need not take their words seriously!!!

Hi,
this is my first post on this forum, this is especially for the admin guys kindly make the "material prices" into different threads like
Sand
Cement/concrete mix
Jelly /soling/borders
Steel
Fabrication steel
Aluminium fabrication (inc Glass)
Wood/plywood
Flooring tiles/granite/marble
Electrical fittings
Paint
Plumbing material (inc bathroom/kitchen fittings)

etc..
so that it would be easy to update and view for all ,and more over it will help those who are looking for a particular thing..
This is just a suggestion .

Tata Steel cuts steel prices: http://www.deccanherald.com/content/19140/banner-300x250.swf

So will the other steel vendors cut prices too? Any updates from anyone on the latest Steel Prices after the price cut?
