Cost of Temperory Electrical connection for Construction

Post by Rajj »

Hi,

I recently got a Temperory electrical connection for my site for construction and borewell pump usage. i searched a lot and got diffrent quotations from various electrical contractors who were charging a bomb. at last i got to know the concept

3 KV Temperory Electrical line Deposit to KEB :- 7650 rs
Meter Charges :- 4000
MCB , Panel Board , Wires, office charges, service charge and all the cost for 3 phase electric line with 3 KV. the best i could get was 15,000.

Please guide if its the lowest or is there something better i can try for

Hi,
I paid 10,700 rs for 2kv a month back. Your price seems to be ok, but you can still negotiate on office charges, panel boards etc.

Just curious (for my knowledge) - Is 15K the total sum (meter purchase+BESCOM charges+panel+wiring+...) to be paid as a lumpsum amount to the contractor for getting a 3-Phase 3KVA temporary connection? Will this amount change if you go for a single-phase connection?

Also, FYI - if you take a 3 phase energy meter now, and later, if you want to have single phase permanent connections, then this 3-phase meter which you wouldve purchased would be of no use and vice versa. (It may not be needed, but still, I am just highlighting this to you).

Hi,

Am struggling a lot to get temp. connection since there is not nearby pole to my site. But there is an alternate - there is a pole next to my backside house and KEB people are hesitating to take conn. from there stating that it is another area not in my layout limit.

Is there any rule or issue in providing temp. connection from other area?

Presently i have Enquired for temp connection of 3KW, 3 phase 56 days renewal
The cost is coming to about Rs 26,000, deposit for connection it self is about Rs, 17500 (Refundable it seems)
Can some one confirm if this is true.
