Steel Doors

Hello All,

I am planning to construct my house in a new layout where there are very few houses as of today. Because of this, security is of utmost importance to me.

I have heard that "Steel Doors" are a good option for whom security matters the most. I have 3 external doors planned and want to know the following:

1) Shall i go for steel doors or is there a any reason not to?
2) Where can i find a showroom / retailer of steel doors in Bangalore?
3) Do such doors come with steel frames? Otherwise, it may be a problem to fit the door into the frame as steel doors cannot be filed to make them fit into the frame.
4) I read somewhere that steel doors can heat up and this heat can make the room hot and uncomfortable. How a big a factor is this while making a decision on steel doors?

Hi ,
Godrej,smart homes etc...makes these steel doors.there wouldn't be heating issues since it's a box filled with glass wool if required.even a normal ms fabricator can do it and get it powder coated in case of cost issues.fixing to wood frame is not an issue.tell carpenter to keep the frame opening little smaller than the door .so that he can make adjustments in frame.

Lock to be decided before making

Handles are limited

Which frame (steel or wood) is better to use with a steel door?

All these guys suppy Ms - sheet moulded with fibre.They are good.I am planning to go for these type of doors for my extranal doors.
