building plan approval

Hi,
I have an A-Khata for my site at Maithri Layout in Whitefield. While going for plan approval, the BBMP guys are asking for betterment charges.
I could not locate the receipt (I am not sure if this was paid in the past by the previous site owner.
Is this really required when I already have the A-Khata which was done in Dec/2010?

Hi,
Bbmp made it compulsory to pay betterment charges.most site are not paid,since they started collecting it recently.in general many site owners pay while planning for construction.

Hi,
All D.C. converted sites are required to be paid betterment charges for regularisation. BDA / BDA approved / old bbmp area sites need not pay this. Since the D.C. Conversion is only done, and no planning authority would have approved the layout, hence this charge. I have circulars from BBMP substantiating this.

The builder converted a D.C site and made several plots & sold them. All plots have B khatha. I own one of the plots from that converted D.C. site.

Can I go to BBMP and apply for khatha transfer for my plot ?

Is BBMP accepting betterment charges for such plot ?

Even I am looking out for a reply to this query. I am in a similar situation, although not yet finalised. But wanted to know if anyone has info if BBMP has started collecting Betterment and issuing A khata?
