registration with alternative documents

Post by blrsiteseeker »

There is an article in Deccan Chronicle and Times of India today - regarding guidelines to register properties.

here is an extract of the article from Deccan Chronicle -

Bengaluru, Aug. 18: After a two-year ban on registration of properties, the state government has issued certain guidelines to register such properties falling under the erstwhile City Municipal Corporation (CMC), Town Municipal Corporation (TMC) and 110 villages, which now come under BBMP jurisdiction.
Property owners will have to produce a khata previously issued by local bodies like CMC, TMC or gram panchayat. Revenue properties do not fall in this category and they will have to wait until sakrama is finalised, said sources. The guidelines issued by the revenue department states that property owners must possess a clear title like khata and tax receipts from BBMP to get their property registered. 9 lakh properties have come into the BBMP fold, sources said.

Thought it might be useful for those who have been waiting for registration.

If anyone has more information regarding the validation of khata from previous entitites (CMC or TMC) - will that be valid for plan sanction and other purposes, or only for registration - would be much appreciated.
