B Khata is bogus says BBMP commissioner

BBMP commissioner says B Khata issued by BBMP is bogus. Check news article below

Please read the article carefully...It mentions that having B khata is not a proof of property ownership.Its just a register mentained to collect the taxes.
Based on this B-khata(rather B register) one should not buy the properties.Once should check all the leagl documents and get the Mother deed,all susequent sale deeds and EC before byuing the proeprties.

No,since B 'khata' does not guarentee the ownership,BBMP does not approve the plan.So one can not construct.What I meant is B khata is not bogus,a register is mentained in BBMP.People make it bogus.I hope this makes sense...

So essentially wat it means is it is something given by the Govt so that they can collect tax from us but we cant do anything with it?
But some ppl use\market it as a legal and that is bogus ...
