Hi,
Tata starts with Fe 500 where as indus Fe 415.There tensile strength ,chemical comp varies. If you check with any structural consultant they make difference in steel detail between tata and non tata steel.
Tata steel has a very good brand image in market at the same there standards are good.If you are looking for a residence i would suggest indus or similar brands will do.

Re: Construction Steel
Talking about steel used for concrete reinforcements, I see at most of the construction sites ready for concrete pouring that the steel is rusted and no precaution is taken to keep them rust free. In contrast, at sites that I have seen outside India, this is a strict no-no; they ensure that the steel is shining and rust free when concrete is poured or it is just rejected. It would be good to know a structural engineer's perspective on this.
Sorry guys for going off the highway, but thought it would be pertinent for all to know.

Hi All,
Thank you for the reply.I decided to go for Prime Gold TMT Fe500.Compared to Indus i believe Prime Gold parameters are good and they almost comparable to TaTas, you can even check it on their website,i even spoke to Prime Gold Tech guy earlier it was Kamadhenu TMT.Even my architect told prime Gold is Ok as it is TMT and has ISI mark on it.
I don't know some how i don't believe TaTas or Ambanis as they can get highest certificate paying money to our bureaucrats(2G)

Re: Construction Steel
hi all,
i have been using INDUS TMT for the past 4 years in all my projects, i am totally happy with the quality standards they have maintained, eventhough it is priced bit more than some local steel, it gives you correct weight per meter compared to any local steel like chamundi, sk, maharishi steel. Even the barbender is happy to work on it.
regards
Vivek

Re: Construction Steel
I find that mostly all construction happens with rusted steel rods but some quality conscious people paint over the steel rods with special anti-rust coating as I found recently at a site (see picture attached). Can someone say what material is it exactly and how much it costs?

Hi, 2 all
I need some clarification regarding TMT Fe500 and Fe415 because I am planning to construct my 4 floor house at (60x40) site. I am not able to find to which type of steel is good for construction can anyone help me. And what is the difference b/w Fe500 and Fe415.
