After one week of curing & drying, these CSEB Brick samples were tested for its compression Strength at an authorised Lab as per IS Standards. Results were very much satisfactory and much above the minimum requirements.

Started with the SUMP Tank using the mix of CSEB and Cement Bricks for a higher capacity. As the Sump Tank is coming near the Storm Water Drainage, which is regularly remodelled by the civic authorities. Nowadays they use JCB's even for Storm Water Drainage works, which is always a threat for the maintenance of the SUMP tank, and also based on the Capacity and its wall also on one side supports the column used for the Parking area. Hence its walls are made for extra Thick on two sides.

Completed the sump and also the basement level and filled with the soil

After levelling the basement, Started with Wall construction marking. During this phase also, we received consistent raining almost 3-4 days in a week, which helped us naturally in the curing process.

Moved with Wall construction using the fully cured & ready to use CSEB Bricks. Even though the Wall Construction work looks very similar to the regular construction work, we need to give more attention to the placement and alignment for each & every bricks used. Reason is as we don't do cement plastering for these walls, maintaining brick alignment & uniformity is of utmost priority, else the any offset can look abnormal or ugly in future & also the rework at a later state is very expensive or very time consuming. Hence its bit time consuming work. But it saves a lot of time & money by eliminating the Cement Plastering and the Toxic painting(First Time as well as repeated painting at an average of 5-6 years in the future) during the finishing stage.

Even all the Door Frames are also installed at the starting of the wall construction.

Started the column work for the Car Parking area. Here initially we had a plan to go with a Stone masonry Column which doesn't need Steel and gives excellent look. But for the span of nearly 21 feet between the two columns with a load bearing capacity of 40-45 Tons, structural engineer had given 3 options.

1. Go with a stone masonry thicker columns - 2 Nos.
2. Go with stone masonry columns of regular size - 3 Nos
3. Go with regular columns using Steel & Cement - 2 Nos.

As going with a thicker stone columns which is double the size of the regular column would occupy more space near the entrance & staircase space, or going with 3 stone columns will make car parking space bit congested to park 2 cars. Hence we compromised to go with regular steel based regular 2 columns.

Attached last image is the reference picture for the Stone masonry Columns used in is the eco friendly houses, which is placed at around 10 ft span without using steel.

This is the manual CSEB Brick Making machine used at the site to make the Bricks. CSEB Bricks are made up of Msand, Red Soil & Cement combination of 50 % +40% + 10%. Based on the Clay content in the Red Soil, this ratio may vary Slightly to get the optimum results.

Here Cement is used as Binding material. Hence there is no need of Firing process by burning wood to heat the Bricks used for making the traditional mud Brick. Once the CSEB Bricks are made, it will be cured with water 3 times a day and allowed to get Dry under sun light for minimum 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, its ready for wall construction.
Hence this is more nature friendly process.

On an average, daily 500-600 bricks can be made.

Can you please let us know the process for the CSEB Brick manufacturing at the site?

Do we get the CSEB Brick Making machine for rent or do we need to buy one, if so what is the cost?
What type of cement needs to be used, any specific grade needs to be used?
Any specifications for M-Sand?

Do we need to make the blocks ready first and start the construction as we need 21 days of curing time?

Are the laborers are trained by someone to do this?

Do we get specially skilled laborers for this to do at the construction site?

Any contacts for the laborers/contractor to do this work?
