Sealing porous granite

Post by gsrini52 »

Hi all,

We have laid white granite for our house, which seems to be porous and can easily have stains by spilling oil, etc. I am looking for best way to seal it. I heard about tenax proseal, hitek marble wonder. Tenax proseal is single layer application and has to be repeated every few years. Hitek marble wonder needs to be applied multiple times which permeates inside the granite and solidifies, and they claim it is permanent solution. It seems we need to keep applying it till it doesn't permeate.

Has anyone used any of these? Please let me know the feedback. Or if there are any other solution, please let me know.

Regards

I got the following product and tested on a small piece pf pur granite:

https://stonecarecentre.com/store/ols/products/hitek-marble-wonder

Seems to reduce the staining effect. So planning to apply it.

You may have a look at their other products and see if it suits your requirement. You may visit or call them and check.
