For revenue site , you don't even have khata. So how will you get permission even if you apply for it.

u need to apply for permission and take an acknowledgement and dig the borewell. Acknowledgement is good enough to go ahead. U will get acknowledgement the moment u submit the documents.

The form is available in bwssb website.. you can fill it and make a payment of 300rs or so in canara bank(the gorm has details on this) and submit it with documents in Kaveribhavan for bbmp site , or vv tower for bda site. An engineer will come for inspection and around 1 monthe we can go and collect the letter.

Is it mandatory that to get kaveri water connection we should not have bore well connection at our house. This i heard recently from the owner who is constructing the house.

Anybody aware of this in this forum and came across this situation.

Kaveri water is for drinking purpose only and not for construction purpose. It's illegal to use it for construction. No govt office will ever approve it. It's better you visit bwssb office and clarify all things in prior.

I mean not for construction purpose, for regular daily use. It seems new rule says that if we have bore connection and using bore well water for our regular daily need(drinking+other) then we wont get kaveri connection.

If we need kaveri connection then bore connection need make dummy.

I don't think there is such rule.. I recently applied for Kaveri connection, and the bwssb engineer came for inspection.. He didn't mention any such thing.
