Grill vs Hexagon rods for Windows

Hexagon rods work better only with wooden windows. For upvc rods are drilled onto wall. Upvc frames are just fitted into window space and screwed. Upvc frame and window will be independent of each other . Technically you can drill hexagon rods onto wall and use upvc window, but that would look downright ugly.

Good to know that RashmiL. I was wondering if I would still need wooden frame just for hexagon rod. I would assume this will need to be done during wall construction.

Check this video on upvc window installation. You will get complete idea. Unlike wooden windows upvc windows are installed after house is painted I.e in last stages. Before that only grills are put into walls.
