Hi Friends,
Looking for a suggestion regarding Solar water heaters connection, 20 years back I had installed 1 no plate type 200 ltr capacity SWH. 3 years back extended my house and added another 1 no tube type 200 ltr capacity SWH.
As per plumbers advice we connected SWH in series, cold water first passing through Tube type and outlet to plate type.
I want to know if this is the correct procedure or to have plate type first and tube type second.
Or is it a benefit to have parallel connection in summer and change it to series in winter.
Friends Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Series would be better imho as pre-heated stored water of one you are getting in another

I'm not sure, whether pre-heated water from one Heater will get any value addition by passing through another Panel another time. Considering the weather condition, In summer, Hot water is of not much use and in Rainy or Cloudy season, passing through any number of panels also of no use.
Instead, You can also think of using SWH heater hot water output to separate Floors independently ? Another option is to connect the output of both the SWH together, so that you will get Hot water from any of them at any point of time.
