Load Bearing Construction on very old existing foundation

Hi Friends, need your expertise:
I have built foundation for a load bearing building some 18 years back with random rubble work and a concrete band on top, still appears in good condition although some pointing cement on basement (upper portion, above ground, 2 feet high) is gone due to so many years of weather changes etc.
My question is can I construct my super structure on these very old existing foundation.

Hi, Bala
You can construct on a load bearing foundation provided below points are checked properly.

1. Depth and width of the SSM wall foundation done
2. Ground floor wall thickness
3. Typical plan on the first floor or any changes
4. In case of not wall above wall few upgradations or additions to structures one or two floor can be possible
5. Beams used in the ground floor roof slab is also important to be checked.
6. Soil bearing capacity

still I have few questions:
1. Do I need a load test on those foundation?
2. What method can be used for filling up pointing
joints between the RR work which already damaged.
there is any need of adhesive prior to apply the grout.
