Flooring update:
Ground Floor:
Selected Vitrified (Somany, ~white ) 2x2 size Rs62/sqft ;
Used 12mm granite cut piece for skirting - 2x1 size (lakha red)
Selected granite skirting because nosing not possible in vitrified. It has come out well and looking very nice.
First Floor:
selected granite 3x8 size (called s'white, rs 165/sqft) for common area like Hall, Dining etc.
This looks good but i am afraid it may catch stains or dirty marks soon. Tested by putting coffee, turmeric, etc and washed after 20 mins. liquid is not easily sticking to the surface but i have the fear that the white surface is difficult to maintain.
Staircase -
External: Granite called indian blue for both raiser & treads (Rs 115/sqft
Internal : raiser - sira grey (rs 115 /sqft), tread-indian blue.
Cutting is going on. Eager to see how it looks finally. Choice is based on our preference that light color for raiser and dark for tread)
Rest of the floor area - decided to use as following: (yet to purchase)
All rooms - vitrified, 2x2 size - may go for sympolo/kajaria - not getting much color choice in somany. Anybody know good vendor nearby?
Balcony, Utility, headroom - vitrified wood finish - rough & anti skid
please let me know if anybody know good vendor nearby / better brand to choose economically.
Thanks

Work has reached finishing stage. sharing some more update below.
Wardrobes: shelf is done with precast cement slab of 20mm. Only doors, drawers are done with plywood.
This has saved a lot in terms of cost also looking nice & strong.
Bath room: Managed with tankless flush system using 40mm separate pipe line. I feel avoiding tanks was a good move and results are good after pressure testing.
Wood polish: Got all doors / windows polished from inside. Outside, enamel paint as usual. Unfortunately, the polish worker has done a poor job and he did not finish well. Polishing worker is Rajendra Babu Naidu & Suresh from Ittamadu. Later realised how dangerous n lier he is. be careful while giving such subcontracts.
Interiors: FF kitchen factory made modular. Assembly done, tile work completed.
GF kitchen semi modular, done with carpenter who is doing all other wood work like wardrobe doors, office table, tv unit etc.
So far carpenter is doing excellent job.

Hi,
Could you please give the Complete cost you invested for the Flooring - Approximate figure is also ok.
It should have covered Flooring + Skirting + Staircase + Parking + Balcony + Terrace.
I need to work out on Budget for the same, Whether I can go with Marbles/Granites/Digital/Premium Vitrified tiles.
Since mine is also G + Duplex it would be helpful me to arrive at some budget figure.

Hi Swamy,
as per my quick calculation, that amount comes around 5.5 to 6 Lakhs.
Includes Terracota, Bathroom/Kitchen/Parking/all floors tiling.
Avg rates considered:
Flooring=65(2x2size)+22 labor+skirting ~Rs100
Parking=Rs40; sump=22 (8x12size);
Bathroom wall tiles=Rs 40; floor= Rs 60;
terracota=Rs 14(9x9size);
FF Granite flooring = Rs 175 + labr + skirting ~Rs 210
Staircase (made double thick at the edge ) 120+labr+skirting

Further,
RWH 'Percolation pit' completed - 6ft depth ; Used 2.5ft dia rings; bottom and gap btw ring and soil is filled with big jelly, bricks to increase the area of water percolation to ground. Pit is 3ft from the column and it touches the footing on one side. My engineer said it is not an issue.
Sump - used tiles for inside finishing as it will be easy for cleaning.
Electrician is doing a good job - 2 earthing points, all wiring completed; used Finolex , panasonic(anchor) wires. Going for legrand switches.
