Any Experience on clay wire cut 6 " brick - pls share

We have almost finished with the footing stage of my house and are planning for brick construction. I have got few quotes from reliable vendors who are manufacturing 6" wire cut brick . Showed the sample to my contractor and he says the product is good. Can you please advice if the product is good can we go ahead with this brick. The wall will not be 9 " it will be 6 " the load will reduce plus we may get some internal space.

Please provide your valuable inputs on same. The price of the product is 10.20 paise.

What is the size of the brick.what is the precautions to be taken while aging. Can you post the picture of this. What is the strength and water observation of the brick.

What is the height of wall can be raised at a time.

The brick width is 6" , material and composition used is on similar lines to any other wire cut brick. We did a drop test and 1 day water test, my engineer said its holding to it. Attached are few images, the brick factory is at malur and i plan to visit them .

I purchased wirecut bricks 9" from TBW . They also manufacture 6" wirecut bricks which are good. We also conducted water , drop test etc and it held well Would recommend to contact TBW from a price perspective , to see who is giving you a better price.

Hi Kumar,

I purchased 9' SVV wire cut bricks of 2 Lots from Malur only, The price was 7.50 Per brick. But Compared to SVV bricks VBT bricks are strong and good.
You can contact Rajneesh @ 9482249109/9994389568. If the Volume is more they can give you @ 7.00 per brick.

Don't worry about quality of VBT or SVV as they are best among the Wire Cut bricks.

Thanks Sudheer and Swamy , am in touch with both of them. Can you please let me know if 6 " brick can be used as outer wall . Is there any disadvantage over it than the 9 " wall .
