College n boys hostel near to house is good or bad ?

Hi

We have finally found a plot in owners court layout for our home.
I saw that the college and boys hostel is verryyyyy near to the layout.

Would appreciate if anybody could throw light on the positive and negative aspects of buying a plot to build a house with such close proximity to college and boys hostel.

Go for it. There is nothing wrong in having a boys hostel around.

Go for it if u r planing to build semi-commercial building else there would be a lot of traffic and night rules violations nearby which may be disturbing later.

By personal suggestion is not to have house constructed very nearby in bangalore in below situations

1) Schools, colleges & hostels
2) Drains
3) Railway or bus stations or hospitals
4) Main roads and commercial areas, industries (induce lot of pollution)
5) Vehicle Showrooms and garage etc.

if don' have an idea of selling the house in the near future then you can go for it, but if you have plans to sell the house, at that time few potential buyers may think like you to take a decision. but for staying i don't think so there will be any problem, because during the construction it self you will try to take all the safety measures.
