Water pressure issue

Post by sun »

Hello, Need some advise.

I have not installed a pressure pump then, and now facing a lot of issues specifically with Solar. The water pressure is very low, like a little more than droplets from shower  Its normal shower head unlike rain effects etc. Its a 3 floored single unit house and having bath rooms in all 3 floors. Same result everywhere. Not having any issues wrt to cold water line.

Solar tank to closet bath has a height of 16 foot.

Any ideas how I can increase the pressure please? Can a pressure pump installed now?

for 16 foot the pressure in 1 inch pipe should be close 25 psi (losses included) . it should be quite sufficient for a simple shower head.
the solar heater is just like your over head tank , if you say cold water is fine , then there is some other problem. after all how much tall your cold water tank can be compared to solar tank.

I understand you are facing the issue only w.r.t the Hot water line and cold water line functioning normal.

I suggest, there could be some obstruction to the free flow of water. You need to investigate the pipe line
from starting point i.e. output of the Solar Hot water Tank to the delivery point for any dust/particle
accumulation. Otherwise there is no reason for the insufficient output.
