Labour contract rate. Please help.

Post by ramki067 »

Hi,
I am planning to start construction our house after 15 Jan on labour contract. Our site solid ground is 5 feet below road level. Total build area comes to around 1050 feet. We are constructing ground floor only now. The contractor is quoting 33500 per chadra for the following works:
1. For all civil, bartending and centering works which are given below. We have left 2 feet space all round the plot.
a) So he has to construct 2 stone walls as paya walls for compound and brick wall till 3 feet above road level. Totally it will be around 7 to 8 feet and on top of it plinth beam comes.
b) 15000 liter concrete sump,
C) compound.
d) red brick to be used,
e) all round lintel and chajjas as required.
f) roof at 11 feet. 7 feet lintel and 4 or 3 feet above it to make roof at 11 feet.
G) parapet wall
h) churki for mould.
I) overhead tank structure.
J) centering labour cost.
K) barbending labour cost.

Plz inform me as to whether this rate is OK?

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Ramki

Hi Ramki,

Rate is at higher side. Market rate is in range 25-29k at the moment but again depends on the area too. South bangalore is at lower range whereas the rate is pointing north in North bangalore region.

Hi Pratap,
Feeling warmth to know that because every contractor I am talking is in that 33000 range only.
Could I get your contractor reference?

Thanks.
