Procedure to get new electricity connection for the site

Hi,

We are planning to construct house in our site. Our site has bbmp b khatha. So can somebody let us know the procedure to get the new electricity connection? What's the process in that.

hi maviswa, it is temporary connection u should take for construction purpose up to building completion & then u should take new electricity connection for the completed building. A electrician whom u have engaged for the building will take care.

Recently I come across an article, where BESCOM says giving permanent connection later is an issue for the unauthorised layouts.
They may have to continue with the temporary connection at higher price.

- I suggest to have/consult electrical contractor who will do everything for you. Of course, you have to pay him service charges. But things will become very easy.
- Go for 2-3KW connection. Monthly rental will be ~2000
- You need to submit ID proof, EC, plan sanction paper, khata paper
