wheeling in dirt and dung on to parking surface is common in Indian conditions. It is a considerable effort even with jet to clean day in and day out especially on a pimpled surface of a parking tile.
what you need is durable \industrial grade, water proof ,anti skid , easily repairable , washable smooth surface and perhaps colorful. just like the parking floors in the developed world (search images online) . And as one may think Cement flooring is not boring and old style, infact it is the right base and gives you lot of flexibility in terms of quick repairs and allows you to make further improvements to looks and durability .. Epoxy floor coating in different colors is available ,anti skid grains \ powder can be mixed to the epoxy. finished with polyurethane coat, it lasts very long .(depends on the coating thickness). You can inquire Fosroc or Ardex for product suggestions ,cost estimates etc, Fosroc NitoFlor FC 140 is painted with roller, you don't need to spray nor highly skilled labor is required.

Hi,
Smooth tiles for parking are only option is industrial tiles like in brands Jonson edura series .They are available only in plan colors .Epoxy flooring is not at all recommended for parking ,epoxy is more used for hygiene areas like hospitals ,food industries etc...Epoxy flooring will get damages if you put your scooter stand regularly like cement floor.
The other problem with epoxy floor is to redo the color or coating every 2-3 years .polyurethane coat is done for better finishes and not for strength .
Cemented flooring has major issue of cracks and fades off in no time .It looks very dull and catches moss and algae if exposed to sunlight unless you wash the floor regularly .
Better option is to use mat tiles with 5mm spacer for anti-skid.

How about "Ultra parking tiles"?

http://ultratile.com/index.aspx

This is a cement based tile available in various design & color and used for pavement / parking area in many buildings.

Any feedback on pros & cons?

Concrete floors can be polished , stained and coated with epoxy and same can be redone. That's the flexibility it offers compared to tiles.

Jonson Endura is trying very hard to downplay Concrete\ Epoxy and Push tiles(if you refer their comparison) , I would agree with tiles if any one Multinational Auto giant or heavy industry have used Endura tiles and testify, just check at the Clientele \ Project references, http://enduratiles.com/page/select_clientele# , college and educational institutions are listed not a single serious industry.

Most of Industrial floors that are exposed to abrasive damage are concrete floors with epoxy\PU Coating or polishing. PU is a very tough top coat , also done to resist the UV damage \ Yellowing of the under lying epoxy. Epoxy flooring is mainly used for parking. I think you are misinformed .
Look at the clientele and testimonials of Concrete floors with epoxy Tata , lnt, TVS , Ford , Hyundai,Caterpillar,BMW, Renault and many others etc .
Auto Giants factory floor images are available in team-bhp.com , they are clearly epoxy based . They would not use it for industrial floors if the scooter thing what you say is true. Project references of Ardex , BASF , Pidilite also support the fact.

Hi,
I didn't mean you cannot do epoxy floor for parking ,the cost of epoxy floor with PU is not at all feasible for residential projects .It costs above 200 - 250 per sft including cement base, epoxy and pu .
In residential projects ,living room flooring are budgeted at 150 - 200 per sft for vitrified tiles .Epoxy floor is not a permanent solution ,in residential projects you cannot have a flooring that is recurring maintenance for every 5-6 years .Concrete polish is also in the similar price tag of epoxy floor .We can imagine the automobile companies spending money to keep the floors clean and tidy the same cannot be taken in to residential works .If you observe any objects moving on epoxy floor is wheeled ,but in a residence you can expect half the things are dragged on floor .Even in most of the automobile companies the actual work zone base is either metal or tiled.

Hi,
Ultra tiles are cement based ,you can try durato plain finish( its not complete plain but little rough) tiles . Don't use button type design, its very difficult to maintain them in comparison to plain tiles .
Ultra tiles looks little cheaper in color pigmentation when compared to durato .Otherwise nothing much difference in terms of strength and stability .
