Test building quality

Post by sunil4050 »

Hello,

My residential building is under finishing process and i am quite concerned about the quality. The contractor I had employed has used filter sand for plastering, tiling etc. There are many other issues that i am noticing now. He has used bad tricks to make money by using not suitable products for his earlier projects which i was unaware of. I am not ready to let him go with his billing while i face the problems with the house later on. I can see quite rough plastering on the outside and many cracks. His workmanship is quite bad. He assures that there will be 6 months warranty period but i am damn sure he will not turn up after settlement. He has done the same in his earlier projects.

Now i am planning to get the construction quality tested including quality of cement, sand used and life of building etc. Any leads/suggestion on this will be quite helpful. Its quite urgent.

Thanks

I dont think any agency can arrive at quality of constructions just by looking. During the time of construction you have to make sure right quality materials are used for the construction.

There is a company called Civil Aid who checks the quality of the material that is used and give us the report.
