Re: Current rates for Interiors ??
Above Mentioned Rates is a standard price. You need to monitor the Grade/Quality of material they use, not just what they mentioned in the quote in case of labor + Material Contract.
Once the laminate/Veneer is fixed, you can't make out, what material is used inside(MDF or Ply). The quality of work will be experienced only after one year or complete cycle of season, i.e. winter + Rainy + Summer, where end user can notice the rusting of the fasteners, warping, expansion/compression of the drawers/sliders...etc. Good quality material will not undergo any change irrespective of the season.
Labor Charges: Starts from Rs. 70/sq.ft on wards based on the nature of work.
Labor Charges + Material: Starts from Rs. 1,000 - Rs. 1500/sq.ft based on the material used. MR ply's starts from Rs. 30/sq.ft and generally used commercial ply's for Wardrobes & other areas costs in the range of Rs. 60 - 80/sq.ft.
Generally, the carpenter's uses the Bonding Material in most cases is a non-branded and of low Cost/Quality which starts from Rs. 60/kg. Whereas professional makers uses the one of Rs. 210/kg which gives very good, uniform bonding, durable & also quickly seals when the Ply+Laminate/Veneer undergoes hot bonding.
Usually charges for Material/Labor is highest for the Kitchen work and for rest of the areas it will be average.
Not sure about one of the item mentioned i.e. Dining. is it just a Platform or a regular Dining Table.?? If its a regular Dining Table, Does this quote includes Chairs Also(4 or 6 Nos) ??

Hi msn, thanks for detailed reply.
I bought steel modular kitchen, hence there is no kitchen work from interior.
Bonding material is fevicol in my case.
Its not Dining, its the cutlery section with granite top.
I met him again over weekend for detailed discussion and he is going to provide an updated quotation.

Hi Simran,
I bought Prime range - Steel from Beth Kitchens. Link http://www.bethliving.com/products.php
It will be delivered after a month's time. Costed me 1,40,000/-, note that this doesn't include any accessories.

The SS kitchen seems to be an intriguing idea. However, I am yet
to see an all SS kitchen. Followed the URL posted above, while
the positives are clear I am wondering what are its negatives.
Is it the final price ? possibly noise factor ? or is it the fear that
kitchen will end up looking like darshini (from the above 3d-rendering
it does not look like that) ?

Though i like SS kitchen, i don't like the idea of having it for my kitchen. Yeah that was the final price, i booked during offer where i received a 4 burner cook top and chimney from Faber for free (costing nearly 15k)...probably this offer is still going on.
The build quality of beth is not premium but just works for my budget, plus, advantages over wood. Kitchen's from chromatica feels premium and expensive too.
