Shortage of TamilNadu Sand

I bought tirchy sand today, 6 wheeler, for 40 K. got the truck from hebbal stand.
i was buying the same quantity (17 X 3.5 X 6.2) for Rs 26 K prior to the sand strike.

looks like prices are coming down (though very slowly), since 6 wheelers were asking 48-50k 2 weeks ago.

Not sure if it is coming down. I think the rate what you payed is still higher.. Normally, 12Wheeler at 40K is what is expected.

Hi Guys,
I have checked the trichy sand price yesterday but prices are not come down yet. I still need 6 to 7 loads for my house outside platering.
Apart from trichy sand , is any other sand good for platering? Please suggest me.

Has anyone bought river sand in past 5 days? What is the current rate? I have seen some buildings have got river sand loads but not sure which quality.
