Need Contact details for Contractor and Architect

Hi All,

I am planning to demolish my old house(30x30 site) in Basavanagudi area and reconstruct the same (G+2). Can someone please suggest contact details of good contractors (Material+Labour) and architects for the same? What are the typical charge of an Architect if it is just getting the working plan and structural drawings done? Also is anyone aware of the BBMP office for Basavanagudi area where I can get the plan approval process started?

There are various topics on contractor cost and architects fee ,please go through them to get an idea .When ever you ask a generic question you may not get much response from other members .

Architects fee are two types
1.% on the total construction cost of the project ( ranges from 4% to 10% )
2.Lumpsum based on the scope of work that you expect from architect

Hi Gururaj,

We are also planning to start construction and we are going thru Mr.Anand for plan saction. He is very honest and we are very happy with him. He charges nominally for his service but he also gives a clear price break up for everything. If you want his number please let me know. BTW, he's also from Basavangudi area. All the best...
