Windows and Doors

This is what I plan

Windows - UPVC - on the front side of the house planning to go for wooden finish and rest all standard white

Main door - Teak door and Honne frame

Other doors - Sal / Honne frame and ready-made doors which will be further treated to match interiors

Puja room - Sal / Honne frame and Teak and glass door

Kitchen interiors - Stainless steel and or galvanized steel

Wardrobes - Not decided since choice are many, I am inclined towards glass shutters with wooden finished frames

Hi,

Thanks for sharing your construction experience and it is very much helpful.

Your building elevation really looks great. Which side your house is facing, east or north side?

If it is east facing, can you share the floor plans as I am also planning for constructing house in my east facing 30 x 50 site.

Regards

Hi people, happy new year 2015 to all :) , off-late I have been too busy with work and couldn't make time to share updates. In the past 2 months and till now,

Second floor plan was reworked without affecting structure.
The brick construction for second floor was done, roof completed.
We discussed and narrowed down on electrical layout of the house. Pipes are being fixed
Teak and Sal frames are ready and are installed in the site.
Grill work is going to complete this week. We are using bright steel to make them.
Booked and paid advance for Steel kitchen from Beth Kitchens
I contacted several UPVC vendors and checking one by one slowly
Plastering is starting next week.
Elevation has been reworked since my Architect was not happy with his own design, though i had liked it :)

Next several weeks would go in internal and external plastering and during this time i plan to complete interiors discussion with architect and selection of flooring tiles.

Hi ravi,

This thread has been really helpful, I am also starting construction work in 2-3 weeks.
Please share your number as I would like to understand Sump design and RWH implementation.
