EdgeBinding on shutters

what do you guys think of shutters with edge binding? in terms of,

aesthetics?
durability?
anything else like really required these days etc?

Dear Tendlu
Recently we did the edgebanding for all our kitchen shutters, This looks exactly like a kitchen displayed at the display centre, more over
1.Edgebanding is better than pasting of laminate as Edgebanding is done by Machine
2. Since we can go to thickness up to 2mm( in laminate it is mostly up to 1mm) , it is much strong at the edge
3. Less chance of water seapage compare to normal lamination
4. Edgebanding can also be done at site, but max thickness carpenter can handle is 0.8mm
5. Only disadvantage is you cannot get the correct colours Edgebanding if you are not using Solid colours( like White, red. etc)

Sorry for the late reply, will take few photos and upload shortly, secondly Edgebanding normally done only to kitchen shutters, and i am not aware this will be used for Wardrobes even.......
