Folks,
I'm planning to go for fixed windows (3'x4'6") for stairs area, basically only for light as we've plenty of other ventilation. More over, it's on a side wall so no aesthetic value.
Don't want to waste a lot on wood frames/shutters. A steel frame with grills & glass would do right? haven't checked upvc but seems costly.
What are your suggestions?
Thanks!

If aesthetics matter then you can go for glassblocks but they are surely expensive.
If you are just looking to solve your purpose, powder coated aluminium windows would workout to be cheapest as per my analysis.
