Honne wood for Door Frames? Price too

Hi,
Can any one share the experience of using Honne wood for Door Frames? also the current price for CFT? how is the finish, Polish or Paint?

2300 per cft as per rate I checked today...properly seasoned and first class log.

Honne is hardwood , but Honne splinters and splits easily. when it comes to frames , its all about nail holding. Nail holding in Honne\Merbau is not good.
Take a sample piece , get it tested at Indian institute of wood sciences ,Malleshwaram bangalore.
polish won't last long on honne, nor it looks good on it due to its grain structure, honne exposed to moisture leaves a red dye(active for few years),frame being something in contact with a wall ,one should rethink wood like honne.
