Mosquito Nets

Post by sam_m400 »

I am planning for mosquito net around the windows. Please do share what brand and how to do it ? I have seen Netlon in the internet which speciliases in nets, how good is this?? . Whether we can do with carpenter and what do they normally charge ? There are two option one is making new shutter and put net on that ,and other is making like sticking net as NETLON which is better

I did it with aluminium frame and SS net. The guy did an exceptionally good job. If you want , his contact detail below..

I am also planning to do it with 3 track Aluminum window. We can opt for SS mesh or Fenesta mesh. Both cost same.

I need to put mesh shutters for my wooden window. Carpenter asked me to get "50' long by 3' (width) -- steel mesh".
Anyone has further pointers (are there different types, gauges in the mesh) ? Where to get the best quality, price etc.. ?

Thanks

Got this quote - does it sound reasonable:

1. "Heavy grade" - Rs 42 / sft - for my 150 sft it comes to Rs. 6300
2. "Medium grade" - Rs 32 / sft - Rs. 4800

Both are '30' grade he says. Shop is in KR Market (Jain Wire Netting Stores).

when you get the mesh - check out the visibility issues with the various kinds of mesh. Most screens are good in keeping mosquitoes out, but remember when you want to look out the window, there should be no lines visible. I had to do a very long search to get that. But finally did get, unfortunately, I don't have the contact info or the brand name here with me to recommend to you.
