I am planning to install a solar hybrid inverter and want to make provisions for wiring accordingly during construction.
What is the best way to have the wiring set up so that I can make maximum use of solar energy. I believe the inverter already gives priority to solar while charging. But is it better to have a separate set of points for the inverter or will it be better to use it as we use a regular UPS.

I had
I then found the solar hybrid inverter and the guy explained to me that the hybrid battery can be connected directly to the KEB / Solar panel, and I don't need all these separate circuits. Now I have one hybrid battery connected in the basement to the solar panel and the KEB, it stores the solar energy first and only when the level is low, it draws from KEB. So far it has worked out well.
I had requested my electrician to wire the house for solar energy and that was before I found the inverter and all. He had started to put a separate circuit for connection to the solar battery and had told me I would need different kind of sockets for the lamps connecting to the solar circuit.krishnakumar wrote:I am planning to install a solar hybrid inverter and want to make provisions for wiring accordingly during construction.

For DC solar light you need a separate circuit & different socket/holder to connect to lamps. A UPS wiring circuit is sufficient for Hybrid solar.

Re: Best way of wiring setup to use with a solar hybrid inve
Could you please provide the make of Hybrid inverter you have used? I'm in the process of finalizing the wiring setup for my house being constructed. My electrician suggested to have separate conduits altogether for Solar Energy and suggested to cover only select points like light bulbs only through Solar. When we talked about Solar inverter, he indicated that the switch over between Solar and KEB would be manual. He said he can provide a switch in the MCB for the same.
I'm a little confused in this topic. Can you tell me the overall costs involved in getting a Hybrid inverter, Solar Panels and if it is possible to re-use my existing UPS battery.
Regards,

Even I am interested in knowing the best way of using this. I have seen Su-Kam Brainy hybrid inverter costs around 40k including 2 panels and you can add more solar panels. It is even possible to start off without the panels and use only grid power initially and then add the panels when possible.
As blrsiteseeker says no separate wiring is required as is the case for solar-only options.
My question is will the inverter contribute only when there is a power cut or is it also designed to contribute when it has full charge from solar and use that power instead of regular grid power?

If we intend to use the Battery power as backup only, then it will be used only during regular power outages when the mains will switch over to UPS. As santro suggested, there should be separate wiring for DC to be used directly and those lights are exclusive for Solar. I think they are not normal CFL lamps instead some special LED lamps intended for Solar Use only. If you need that kit is available for some Rs. 8000 which include the panel and fittings.
