Dear Sahu and nagzzz, thanks for the suggestions. Actually the contractor has quoted a price of 340 per bag of cement and anything over this i need to pay extra. Right now Zuari 43 OPC is costing 360 Rs i guess...
Going forward i will push for ACC for end to end.

Construction of Sump

Sump construction has started today morning and marking of footing position is also ready. approx 2.5 ton of steel arrived today and steel work for footing will start tomorrow. I shared my sump design to the contractor which will divide the Sump into two partition so that i have flexibility to store Cauvery water and RWH water at the same time.
If required i have option to use complete sump for Cauvery alone. A pipe will connect to drainage so that sump don't overflow.
A single motor will connect to both the partitions operated with valve.
I also kept an option of diverting the bore well water directly to Sump just in case.
Stone steps would be put to reach bottom of Sump and all corners would be rounded off.
Sump will have slope in the bottom

Hi Ravi,

Good Progress, Looks like the construction is at outskirt of City, Lot of Trees backside, Minimum Traffic .

Regarding the Sump Overflow water to Drainage , Instead of flowing to Drainage you can make arrangement to flow to Borewell itself.
Can u attach your House Plans also in this thread.

Approximately how many chadras will come as per the estimate ?

Its not actually on the outskirts, due to few houses, the area looks so. Its very close to Mantri Tranquil on Kanakapura road. Backside greenery is due to few acres of coconut planting and nursery. But at some point in future the greenery would give away to big apartments for sure :(

Due to less traffic and house and some 4 to 5 farm houses around, the area is very famous for shooting films and TV serials. I see the crew almost everyday :)

Coming to Sump overflow, that is a safety measure just in case ball valve is malfunctioning. I wouldn't connect it to bore well since it would cause mix of different waters and water experts don't recommend such direct connections to bore well.

Apologies that i can't share the house plan in open forum which is not ethical to my architect. Hope you understand. If anyone is looking for house plan, i will surely introduce you to him.

The construction would be for 33 chadras
