The biggest scam of the just 1 year old Congress State Govt has come out in the name of "Re-Do" scheme for the crawling Arkavathy Layout. Govt has surrendered itself to the land mafia & releasing a total land bank of 983 acres from the notified area. in its first phase already Govt has released 541 acres last month and the rest of the land release in pipeline. Sadly Already BDA has invested several crores of money on this layout and made several infrastructural activities and sites area already allotted and registered to the beneficiaries. Now their state will be in Tristate.

Hope you are not aware of the things happening in the assembly since last one week/not reading the newspapers
or the TV9 Report on the "Badshah of BDA" story about an engineer (S Raghu) who has fully control or support
on the present CM.

Further to what MSN said, here are my two cents.
There was a supreme court ruling which was based on a "substantial implementation" clause, asked government to return the land if 75% of the notified area is not utilized for the purpose of acquisition within two years. This has a far reaching consequence since even the layout formed in 1994 came to high court and court ruled in favour of erstwhile land owners.
In one of the cases where I am closly monitoring the outcomes, high court gave a verdict in civil case within 4 months of filing the case. BDA did not represent the case well and government thought it is BDA responsibility and kept quiet.
Initially I was hoping that judiciary is at least clean. However, recently high court ruled in favour of land owners in Kempegowda Layout where 4000 acres (yes, all four thousand acres) acquisition has been quashed on the ground of procedural lapse. This looks to me that even judiciary is biased by powerful advocates represented by wealthy landlords.
At the end our, tax payers money has been invested by govt via BDA. Which in tern comes back to politicians via kick back in either de notification or legally (powerful lawyer) via judiciary. In one of the cases no good lawyer was ready to take up the case for allottee since it is not profitable. I have some clients of lawyers crying for their lawyer joining hands with opposition parties and loosing the case.
So, beware of buying BDA site.
