Hi,

You informed in one of your Post, you gone through some 3rd Party Agent for the Home Loan.

Why don't you migrate to Other Bankers, Check your CIBIL Score and teach this Axis bank a lesson. Only issue would be Transfer fee needs to be paid.
Discuss with other Banks and try to discuss with your agent on this.

Else it will be major issue, as once the Interiors starts Contractor will surely needs the amount and any delay in amount disbursement will lead to delay in the project.

One advantage you have in your construction is that you dont have to worry about cement shattering on the neighbouring walls\people on the road etc. I just finished external plastering on three sides of my G + 3 house and there was lot of pressure on this aspect. It might sound a small problem but trust me it can really freak you out. All attempts to put tarpauling was spoiled by the strong winds. The winds infact put the labors on risk as it could pull the whole wood poles down. i would be interested to know if there is a easier way to solve this problem as we would be starting the plastering of the fourth side (backside of the site) on Monday.

Hi ,
Keep tarpaulin on the neighbors building than on scaffolding .You might have to convince them for the same .You can also use car washer pressure pump to clean the neighbors wall every once a week .Its not going to cost for cleaning but for machine you need to spend close to 5,000/- and the same can be used for washing your car and maintaining your outdoors ,cleaning chajjas, terrace, parking area, out side the gate etc..
I am referring to this

Thanks Praveen for the suggestion. I am definitely not worried about the cost because it is very disheartening to see the inconvenience caused to the neighbours, especially when they are co operative. i have spent more than ten thousand just on tarpaulin. Keeping tarpaulin is definitely a safer solution but the problem with that is that when there is any kind of debris falling on it, the impact on the neighbour's roof makes a loud noise and scares them. I have around five feet gap between my wall and my neighbor but since they are only ground floor, things falling from the third floor travel farther on their rooftop. The other problem is that the masons use raw cement extensively which just flies in the wind and makes a layer on the neighbours wall. I know am going crazy on this issue but this aspect is very demotivating for constructing the house. Thanks again praveen.

we were lucky, the right side is an empty site. Back is a house, but they have left a lot of space in the front of their house (which is what my house backs to). Now only side remaining is the left side and we have saints for neighbors. They did not complain one single day. I used to have my contractor try and clean up for them, but they never requested it even once nor did they complain about the noise or dust. I have to thank them sincerely and I do that in my heart daily.

I had told them early on that I would get it painted after all my work was done. And at the end of the construction, I did get one side of their house (the one facing my side) painted. Even then when I went to ask them what color and how they would like it done, they did not make any demands.

So if possible, see if you can get the side of your neighbors property that gets most dirty from your construction, scraped, cleaned and painted. Get it cleaned as and when you can, but tell them upfront that you will finish it up for them when your construction is done. That way, they know there is a good thing at the end of all the construction din, dust and all.

Hey Martin,

Looking back on one of your posts, could you let me know which teak wood did you purchase. Burma Teak or Mysore teak?

Thanks,
Ramki

@ Ramki - I have purchased Burma Teak.

Finally this week got the 4 disbursement from bank after dozens of follow-up. Work has resumed.

Electrical work pipes and switch boxes have been fixed. Plastering work has started inside and outside. Contractor estimates it will take a month to complete all the plastering work.
