Sintex/Kaveri etc for under ground sump

Post by kalidas »

Hi Friends,

I have a 4k capacity under ground concrete sump which i feel is too small. I want to build an additional (separate) 5k capacity sump and connect both these two. So just wanted to know the advantages of Sintex/Kaveri underground sumps over the traditional concrete/brick ones from both the quality, maintenance and cost perspective. Which should i go for?

Members, pls let me know your thoughts.

Thanks and Regards,

From what I know PVC tanks give life of around 20 years but is very expensive. Sump using brickwork is sufficient while even a concrete sump would be cheaper than PVC option and that has much higher life span.

Hi,

Regarding the PVC tanks, they are good for the life of 20 - 25 Years and you need to just dig the space and keep the tank inside it, Since it is underground there is less chance of exposing to Sunlight which may become brittle after some Years as compared to Overhead Tanks. Cleaning is also easy.

How many Kilo Litres you are planning for this, Capcity wise Concrete Sump will be more than PVC tanks as you need more space for PVC Tanks.

Concrete sump will be always better as there is no worry and will long last.
