Hello,

We are planning to build 3 floors viz., basement for car parking, FF, SF and TF. We are three brothers one floor for each one of them. I have attached the plan and request all the forum members to please comment/ suggest your expert views. It is planned keeping in mind all the aspects of vaastu. It is East facing site near BIAL road.

with regards,

hi,

Tell the engineer to check once again with the column position.

As per with column layout a beam will seen in hall, it can be avoided if properly structurally analysed/designed;Thereby hall looks aesthetically good.

Again as per with the structural design one column looks to be rotated, So that car parking can be made more comfortable.

A column in pooja can be suitably designed.

Overall proper structural design can suitably reduce the steel and concrete, Which will reflect in terms of economy(Money).

1. You can swap the kitchen & bedroom in NW corner (Kitchen in NW is acceptable as per vastu) thereby your living area space increases by going for open kitchen
2. If above point cannot be accomplished, avoid the wall between Utility & balcony for better space utilization.
3. Since Clothes/Washed vessels are placed in utility which is facing the road, how do you plan for elevation?
4. Avoid the common toilet visible from living area.
5. Due to many door openings in living area seating arrangement will be a problem.

Hi
Yes Mr santro is 100% right, even my points r the same, give more importance to front elevation look, kitchen can shift to NW ,
As per my knowledge kitchen was preferred NE in olden days due to sunlight for cooking and morning sunrays r good for health. Today v have electricity and chimneys for exhaust . Thinkk scientifically, construct house for u r wish and ur living not a temple for vastu.

Hi friends ,
back after 2 months .
My house construction came upto Ground floor slab level.
Bore well: Motor of good quality with good quality of wiring - done cost -approx 75k(will post type/company of motor & cables/wires).
Temporary Power connection : done , took 2KW power connection.cost 20K
Foundation --done, with RMC concrete.
plinth : Done.
Column: Concrete pouring done yesterday.
Used RMC(ready made concrete) for above activities.
Construction of sump 6020 liters, about to start .

Curing: Done very well , using my borewell water, and our contractor kept a watchman who is taking care of this , as well as my family members usually visit twice a day to take care of curing.

Next Steps:1) After curing of colums , plan to start Ground floor's slab.Aprilmid
2) My plan is to finish All Slabs first by june end /mid july.
3) To start building walls , i am using 6" concrete bricks for external , 4" for internal(might use bricks for internal) , ---target finishing this activity is by July end.
4) plastering: will start by Aug .
Dear members i will post the pictures /plans of column/sump, in upcoming posts.

Conflict/ Issues : Not occured , except some time my neighbours requesting to keep the road clean, so that childrens will not get hurt by skidding. And i am 100% agree with them and suggested my contractor to take care of this issue.

I will post some of snap shots in my upcoming posts.
Happy Ugadi(chandramana) to all members.

HI Friends,
After a long working days in site work...I finally found some time to write about my home construction status.

1) The contractor really did great job. He finished upto 2nd floor slab as of today and about to put slab tomarrow. After that curing for 14-21 days.
2) Planning to finish the plastering in mid july.
3) He is very flexible in payment, and got a very good labours available to him.( i am not marketing him, but after reviewing the forum members experiance i am writing this).

Till today i have no issues with contractor.
Will defnately try to post the photos once i come back to calgary.
