Can we hang a cane swing in fan's hook ?

In my study room, we have a wall fan , but the typical fan hook was done during the moulding of the roof. By fan hook I meant, the typical one the electricians place in the roof ( a round metal can with wires and crossed iron rodes ) . Now I have a cane swing ( adult one ) and will it be OK to hang it in this fan hook ? Is there any load limit to these fan hooks ?

I have put fan hook inside the mould for same purpose. My engineer says it works just fine. You can do a trial and error, put the swing on, place a load ( may be a bag of sand or something) see if it works.
