Hi Scg,

Which is the wood for making wardrobes. Is it plywood with laminations or solid wood?
Also, please provide the rates for such wood. I would require to do 1 box wardrobe, one inner wardrobe(like drawers, sheets,etc) and some work on one more wardrobe.

We all deal with teak wood and other wood

Murthy,

As i don't have cement slab in my bedroom, 3 sides ply(bottom,up and adjacent) and one side door frames carpenter has to do.Inside white laminate and out side colour laminate.He charged 180/sft.The same carpenter is doing door frames for kitchen loft(slab is there in kitchen) and he is charging less.

I got a full material contract quote for the woodwork. Can you please let me know whether this is reasonable?
710 Rs for covering Loft,
1450 Rs for Kitchen with BWR plywood of his choice he told pine wood or neem wood. Don't know whether any plywood is there with this name (1800 Rs if Century or greenply BWR Ply needs to be used)
1025 Rs for Wardrobes (1500 Rs if Century or greenply MR needs to be used)
Ebco Hinges will be used
0.8mm inside lamination - diplomate
1mm outside laminate - merino laminate
Chimney, Granite, SS baskets, Tandem boxes as actual

If it is labour contract Rs 250 per sq ft.

Please let me know whether this is reasonable?
