worth visiting Hosur/Krishnagiri for granite/marble?

Is it worth visiting Hosur or Krishnagiri for Granite (may be marble as well)?
how does it compare in terms of variety and costing, to Jigani/Bannerghatta main road ?

last post in this matter I saw was from Nov'12, it sounded like not worth visiting.
any more recent experiences would be good.

I also need to purchase ,and heard from few that there we get at good price . A granite at 80 Rs per Sq ft would 55 to 60 Rs ,so adding around 7000 Rs for transportatoin would get good quality. anybody has good picked up on those. There are roughly 300 shops there ,and in Jigni it is sale shops not factories so there good quality would be there .

He told from jigni to Ramurthy nagar would also cost me around 5000 Rs same as from Krishnagiri/Hosur.
