Hi,
One should understand the clear difference between an Interior designer and Interior decorators .Both are not same at all.
If you closely observe ,decorators fill the spaces with the products they have ,they don't design the units/products for your space ,they fit the available products to your space.Designers design the units to match the spaces and customize them to your taste in a concept .
Architects are the qualified interior designers ,they can understand and visualize the spaces to match your requirement.
A simple example - every wardrobe need not be 2' deep but i see most modular or decorators guys fill the rooms with 2' deep wardrobes.Can't we make less deep two units in 2 different location (IT cost more but not worst than loosing valuable room space)in a room.
Have ever any one made 1' deep long units next to bed( which is a dead space since you wont walk or sit in that area) can accommodate all your linen(bedsheets,towels,curtains) and save 50% of your space in wardrobes?there by you can plan for sleek wardrobe.
As tv unit with no proper store for current gizmo electronic equipments ( dvd,setup box,play station, home theater amp,stabilizer or ups) is of no use.

Designers are required if you are willing to go for some good concepts and aesthetically good looking .Don't go for designers if you just want to fill the rooms with wooden furniture's (wardrobes,kitchen,tv unit etc..) .

There is one interior designer company in Bangalore please check www.bonito.in the work they have done looks good but i am not sure how they are charging. If you get the details about the charges kindly share it with me.

Thanks for the inputs. We are currently looking for a good interior designer who could plan the interiors for our house. We are situated outside Bangalore . We found the website of Veetee Cuccina and wanted to know if anyone have got thier interior designs done through them. Any inputs on this would help.
