I have applied for permission for new borewell. I am waiting for the permission since Sep 3, 2013. I have submitted all the necessary documents (affidavit, request letter, fee, etc), but till date I have not got the permission letter from them. I directly approached the Senior Geologist early this month. He promised me that I will get the letter directly via post within a week. But till now I have not received it. I tried calling them, but everytime they tell some story and do not give useful information. How to tackle this? Any idea how to file RTI or complaint with some higher authority?
My site is in BSK 6th stage (BDA layout). So it comes under Senior Geologist, 13th Floor, Vishveshwarayya Gopura, Ambedkar Veedi, Bengaluru-560001.

Re: Unable to get permission for borewell digging
I had to some amount of running around to get the permissions too. Did you try going to Senior Geologist office directly? Please do meet him in person and have a chat. It sorted out things for me. However, I am completely unaware of the letter being sent out via post.
Re: Unable to get permission for borewell digging
I think BSK6th Stage is still developing ( I last saw in 2012) so, i think you should not worry much about permission.
If there are neighbors objecting it then you can get.. else not required.

Venky

Re: Unable to get permission for borewell digging
There is a catch here, you might as well go ahead without getting the approvals, but it may stand in between other essentials -
1) Now the application is already submitted, and money is paid and all that it may create issues down the line, some one may come checking because its a BDA site, during construction and ask for a letter
2) You have a borewell, and submit an application for cauvery water connection, one of the document is this letter, to be attached
However, one can go ahead with drilling, get the borewell done, and then submit a fresh set of application to regularize it. Fee is 500 (+/-) rupee for that, and approvals come much faster than the new ones.

Re: Unable to get permission for borewell digging
At last....I got the permission letter, few hours after starting this thread. Even before starting this thread, I had called them up twice to check the status, but to no avail. When asked about the officer they said he was not available; they said they don't know the mobile number when asked. After starting this thread, I called them up again to check if I can speak to Senior Geologist. They said he is available, but they said he is not in his seat when I asked them to transfer that call. I thought this is the right time to go directly so I can speak to the officer myself. When I went there officer was not available; I checked with them about the letter. They said they have already posted the letter to my address. I stayed there for a couple of minutes and one of the clerk pulled one envelope with my address written on it. At last, I got it. The permission was granted the day before yesterday (25 Nov 2013). My application date was 03 Sep 2013.
I will write down the exact procedure I had to follow with information the applicants should know, drafts of affidavit and request letter, etc.
@Venky,
Yes. I could have done that, but wanted to get the permission letter before digging.
@Sun,
Yes. I did meet the Senior Geologist (Anand) early this month. I guess, that would have helped a bit. He acknowledged it was already too late and asked the case worker to do it fast and commit on the date. He committed on 11 Nov. But it was done only on 25th Nov 2013.

Re: Unable to get permission for borewell digging
Hi Murthyveda,
I too applied for borewell in the month of august'13 and I submitted application with Fee receipt at Cauvery Bhavan but not submitted affidavit and request letter.
Would you please tell me where to get affidavit and what request letter should contain?
Thanks in advance.
