Engineered Acasia for Window/Door
Re: Engineered Acasia for Window/Door
I received my lot after lot of wait because of our own issues, nothing to blame form GITA timber. check the second image on lower right hand side you see the finger joint of pieces, we are quite satisfied with fit and finish
Re: Engineered Acasia for Window/Door
Hi kraghum,
The windows and door frame look good. Evn our experience with Gita Timber has been good. Just a curious question....seems like you have kept larger gaps between grills in your windows. Any particular reason? What are you planning for safety? Dont get me wrong. Even we have kept a gap of 5inches between parallely run vertical grills, 4.5ft high windows with just one horizontal strip of steel. People questioned me on safety and I tell them if a person can cut grill anyway, one or 2 grills more will not deter him. Only issue might be that a person can easily slide his hand in if the windows are open. Whats your opinion on this?

Re: Engineered Acasia for Window/Door
Smithaau , you are right. we just received our order. and now we are going be commented on this from relatives and my parents. i am of same opinion if a guy planned to cut a grill, he is going to do so anyway. so the security some time is just perspective.
A burgler can always kill a ATM watchman and take away the Cash box right?. but we cannot just open up right, so we need to deter the folks and that's was the thinking went in to this.
so you are right, we are going to hear all comments abt security, and we cannot have answer to that. it just the way we wanted . one more grills defenitly will not deter him

Re: Engineered Acasia for Window/Door
Yes thats our thought process as well. Actually the grill layout that we finalsied on goes so well with the overall structure, that we didnt want to fall prey to the false security!!
Are you also going to have mosquito mesh? Is there anything planned?

Re: Engineered Acasia for Window/Door
that's the grey area still, we have the provision given for regular two shutter design for selected windows. but not interested to have it. looking for roll up mosquito mesh option. exploring some option from the below company
http://www.mattscorner.net/double-Mosqu ... creens.php
But defenitely need mosquito screen since our area is notorious for it, what did you do at your place

Re: Engineered Acasia for Window/Door
We havent provided for 2 shutters in our windows as I thought it would have been double the cost. Mosquito is not a big menace here in HAL 3rd stage but you never know!!!! Need to explore for other options now.
Re: Engineered Acasia for Window/Door
